Savi Technology Announces New, Expanded Roles for Key Executives


ALEXANDRIA, Va. --(Business Wire)--

Savi Technology today announced a series of executive promotions - four vice presidents - reflective of the company's commitment to build and maintain a strong and dynamic management team. The executives promoted to vice president are Jay Birch, James Costello, Rosemary Johnston and Mitch Miller.

Their addition to the management team is the first in a series of steps we're taking to propel Savi's growth and success."

The executives promoted to vice president now hold these titles and responsibilities:

Jay Birch, Vice President, Software Engineering.

Previously Director of Softare Engineering and Services, Birch will continue to lead Savi's technical design team through product concept, development, testing, and delivery of wireless products and asset tracking software solutions. Birch led the development of Savi Mobile Tracking System, Savi's first in-transit cargo security system that has resulted in a massive reduction in theft of transported materials in third world countries.



James Costello, Vice President and General Counsel.

Previously senior counsel, Costello will continue to lead legal affairs for Savi. Costello played a key role in Savi's recent divestiture and is instrumental in protecting Savi's more than 40 patents. Recently this activity has expanded to include developing a more comprehensive partnership and licensing model.


Rosemary Johnston, Vice President, Business Operations.

Previously, Senior Director - Business Operations, Systems & Governance, Johnston will oversee operations, sales operations, systems support and governance assistance for Savi Technology. Rosemary holds certification from Defense Acquisition University in Product Lifecycle Management, Acquisition Professional Development and Logistics Management Professional Development as well as a Master Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University and a Master Certificate in Business Development from MBDi.

Mitch Miller, Vice President, Professional Services.

Previously Director, Americas Programs, Miller leads the Savi Professional Services organization. In this role Miller is responsible for providing technical Pre-Sales support to the America's Sales organization as well as the implementation and on-site support of Savi Solutions.
