FAA acronyms mobile app makes debut


Feb 14, 2013 (AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION via COMTEX) -- US-based aviation administration services provider North Star Group LLC said it has released a new mobile app that allows users to keep track of the often baffling acronyms used by US aviation regulator the Federal Aviation Administration.



The free all is simply called FAA Acronyms Mobile App. NSG said it will debut the new app at the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International's (AUVSI) Unmanned Systems Program Review.

According to NSG, the app is an easy to use, searchable list of many of the commonly used acronyms used by the FAA and the aviation industryIt is downloadable for iOS (NASDAQ: AAPL) and Android (NASDAQ: GOOG) mobile devices including iPhones, iPads, and Android hand-held and tablet mobile devices.


The app allows users to search an extensive list of commonly used FAA acronyms for their definitions. A special feature of the app's service allows users to submit FAA or aviation industry related acronyms to NSG, which can be added to the app's acronym list.

This enables the Free FAA Acronyms App to be a living app updated consistently by NSG and users alike--one of the first living apps of its kind.
