Fulbright & Jaworski Names Eight New Partners


HOUSTON --(Business Wire)--

Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. has promoted seven senior associates and one senior counsel from key practice areas to join the firm's global partnership.

The new partners are: Amber Ervin, Corporate; Tamarah Feigl, Energy and Real Property; Bert Greene, Intellectual Property; Tania Perez, Energy and Real Property; Lesley Reynolds, Health Care; James Rogers, Litigation; Melanie Rother, Litigation; and Brett Young, Litigation.

Corporate

Amber Ervin handles corporate matters, focusing on mergers and acquisitions for public and private companies in the energy, manufacturing and retail sectors. She has extensive experience in private equity related representations, including fund formations and private equity sponsored mergers and acquisitions and capital financing transactions. Amber received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University and her B.S. in finance from the University of Alabama.

Energy and Real Property

Tamarah Feigl concentrates her practice on real estate matters. She has experience working with clients in sophisticated real estate transactions, including owners, developers and lenders in connection with the development, construction, financing, leasing, acquisition and disposition of all types of commercial real estate projects. Tamarah received her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and her B.A. in economics from Texas Lutheran University.

Tania Perez focuses on federal regulatory proceedings and transactions involving energy infrastructure development, with an emphasis on natural gas and LNG projects. She participates in proceedings before the FERC and DOE involving the siting, construction and operation of energy projects, the import and export of natural gas and LNG, rates and tariffs, and compliance matters. Tania received her J.D. from Fordham University and her B.A. in economics and political science from Columbia University.

Health Care

Lesley Reynolds handles maters involving health care regulatory compliance and health care litigation. She has worked with clients including hospitals, managed care organizations, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufactures, long-term acute care hospitals, hospices and medical schools. Lesley received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School and her B.S. in administration of justice and sociology from Rutgers College.



Intellectual Property

Bert Greene focuses on intellectual property and technology-based litigation. He handles patent infringement lawsuits involving a wide range of technologies in courts throughout the U.S., representing both large and small companies. He also assists clients with developing and managing their patent portfolios. Bert received his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and his B.S. in chemical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.


Litigation

James Rogers focuses on international arbitration matters, working in the firm's arbitration, construction and litigation practice groups. Having previously practiced in London and Tokyo, James is now based in Hong Kong. His practice has a strong focus on Asian centric arbitration, particularly cases involving China and the resolution of energy industry, construction, licensing and technology related disputes. James received both his LL.B. and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago, New Zealand.

Melanie Rother focuses on complex commercial and business litigation matters. She has also handled commercial tort, products liability, patent infringement, real estate, and maritime matters and has advised clients on the risks associated with new product offerings and acquisitions. Melanie has significant first chair experience in state and federal court. She received her J.D. from the South Texas College of Law, both her M.A. in land economics and real estate and her B.S. in economics from Texas A&M University.

Brett Young concentrates his practice on responding to catastrophic events, personal injury defense, premises defense, product liability defense and environmental litigation. He defends product manufacturers and petrochemical facilities in toxic exposure lawsuits. He manages a docket of several dozen cases that involve alleged exposure to industrial chemicals. Brett received his J.D. from The University of Houston Law Center and his B.B.A. in finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
