BRIEF: Mobily's 4G network covers over 4,500 sites


Jan 27, 2013 (Arab News - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Bayanat Al-Oula, Mobily's data arm, said it had covered more than 4,500 sites with the advanced 4G network.

Mobily CEO Khalid Al-Kaf said that the competitiveness in the telecommunication sector makes Mobily to move rapidly in providing these advanced networks to all populated areas.

Hence, he said, the completion of several stages of the project had ben accomplished ahead of time.

Al-Kaf stressed that 4G will be a leading service for the future and Mobily is committed to achieving its vision and the right strategy that aims to enrich customers' lives with advanced technology.

Mobily's daily data transmission through wireless broadband was 750 Terabytes by the end of 2012.



This confirms the high turnout on the use of Mobily network in addition to its ability to relay such a large amount of data without any problem in the network.

Mobily has recorded a remarkable achievement in telecommunications and information technology by launching international LTE-4G data roaming as the first company in the Middle East and Africa.


Mobily customers are now able to use high-speed LTE technology while traveling outside the Kingdom.
