About the Liquid Telecom Group www.liquidtelecom.com The Liquid Telecom Group owns a number of different companies operating under the Liquid name: Liquid Telecom has built the largest fibre network in Southern Africa and provides wholesale carrier services in Botswana, Lesotho, DRC, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Liquids network is the first to cross country borders and covers some of the most challenging parts of the world where no fixed network has existed before. Liquids network provides connectivity onto the four main subsea fibresystems of Africa; WACS, EASSY, Seacom and SAT3. In November 2013 Liquid was named Best African Wholesale Carrier at the annual awards of Capacity magazine.

Liquid Telecom will be investing heavily in expanding into new countries to ensure that for the first time all countries and operators in Central and Southern Africa are directly connected by a fibre network.

Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe has built the largest fibre network in Zimbabwe providing broadband voice and data in all the major cities and towns. It is an IAP as well as an ISP in Zimbabwe and as such provides services for residential, SMEs, large enterprise customers as well as other operators. It provides the countrys first direct fibre connection to the West African Cable System (WACS).

CEC Liquid Telecom is a joint venture between Copperbelt Energy Corporation, a Zambian power company, and Liquid Telecom. It has built a fibre network across Zambia and offers wholesale capacity as well as being an operator with customers from all sectors. This is the first fully-redundant network in the country and, because CEC Liquid Telecom has end-to-end ownership of the network, it is able to provide Service Level Agreements at a level not previously experienced in Zambia.

Liquid Telecoms fibre network is supplemented by Liquid Telecom Groups satellite business which provides connectivity to 18 countries in Africa using both large and small capacity terminals for residential and commercial customers.

The Liquid Telecom Group also owns TPS (Transaction Processing Systems) which provides outsourced transaction switching and point of sale solutions to major international banking groups which need electronic payment systems including banks, corporations, SMEs in urban areas, rural businesses and telecom operators in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Mauritius, Seychelles, Uganda, South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Nigeria, Malawi and Ghana.

Established in 2003, The Liquid Telecom Group is a subsidiary of the Econet Wireless Group.
