ExaGrid Honored for Data Deduplication Technology by 2 IT Publications

According to a release, ExaGrid was selected by IDG's InfoWorld as one of the recipients of the 2013 Technology of the Year. Additionally, ExaGrid was named a Storage Magazine's 2012 Product of the Year award finalist. The industry accolades, both announced this month, include: -Winner, InfoWorld 2013 Technology of the Year Award: ExaGrid's EX Series of disk-based backup with deduplication was selected as a result of a review by InfoWorld's Test Center.

-ExaGrid's EX130 Encrypted Disk Backup with Deduplication System with Secure ERASE, was one of just eight finalists selected in the category of disk backup hardware.
-The EX130-GRID-SEC is a disk-based backup system with deduplication that accommodates up to 130 TB full backup and can hold up to 16 weeks of retention. The system has up to 2.6 PB of logical storage capabilities. Secure ERASE is a feature that overwrites the affected disk areas, so data is no longer accessible, ensuring that organizations can comply when required to remove backup data from ExaGrid's disk-based backup appliance.
