The unit launched at the beginning of the month in markets including Singapore, Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia and India and is led in Asia-Pacific by regional managing director Rob Doswell. Craft's roster of services includes the production and execution of print, digital, online video,TV and design.



California Faceook and Zynga overhaul game deal Facebook could now develop its own social games after the social network and Zynga overhauled an agreement between the two companies, according to a regulatory filling. Zynga, the maker of FarmVille and Mafia Wars, makes most of its money selling virtual goods on Facebook, and its growth and success has been tethered to the rise of the social network. Under the revised agreement, Zynga will be free to ditch Facebook's login, ad units and payments services on its site, enabling it to operate as a standalone games business.

London GroupM lowers ad forecast for 2013 to 4.5% Sir Martin Sorrell's media powerhouse, GroupM, has become the latest group to downgrade its global ad forecast for 2013, from 5.3 per cent foreseen in June, to 4.5 per cent, citing "continued sluggishness in the US and European economies". The downgrade for 2013 can be largely attributed to challenges still prevalent in western economies, which will also be devoid of this year's boosts from the Olympics and US presidential elections.


Paris Johansson out as Federer takes on Moët Moët & Chandon, the Champagne brand, is ending its relationship with Scarlett Johansson and replacing her with Roger Federer as brand ambassador. Moët & Chandon, which is owned by Louis Vuitton Hennessy (LVMH), had signed its deal with Johansson in 2009. The reasons behind the decision are unclear.

Amsterdam Heineken calls global advertising review Heineken International is holding a global pitch to find an agency to create a new digital platform for its flagship beer brand. It is believed that Creativebrief is handling the review. The lager giant will add the appointed agency to its global roster as one of its lead digital shops. The platform is expected to focus initially on Heineken, but could be rolled out across other brands such as Strongbow, Foster's and Kronenbourg 1664.

Delhi DDB Mudra lands marketing brief for Bata Footwear brand Bata has appointed DDB Mudra Delhi to handle its marketing communication responsibilities. The agency will be responsible for strengthening the Bata brand and highlighting its product range, according to an official statement. Bata, India's largest footwear retailer and widely acknowledged market leader in the branded footwear segment, has more than 1,250 Bata stores spread across 500 cities in India.

Bienne Bond star signs as Omega brand ambassador Berenice Marlohe, the latest Bond girl and star of Skyfall, has become a brand ambassador for Swiss watchmaker Omega. Marlohe shot to fame in the latest Bond film, starring alongside Daniel Craig. She is to pose in a series of seductive shots to showcase the watch brand.

Hong Kong Prophet buys brand consultant Figtree Buying a foothold in Asia in a deal combining two independent brand consultants, San Francisco-based Prophet has acquired Figtree, which has offices in London and Hong Kong.The move aims to create a company with a larger global footprint that is "equally facile in strategy and creativity" according to Prophet, which has offices in Germany, Switzerland and London in addition to four locations spread across the US.

Shanghai WPP bags brief from Chinese telco giant WPP is believed to have won the global corporate branding brief for Chinese telecom giant Huawei.The Chinese telecoms giant kicked off a global pitch for a corporate brand strategy brief in July.The group invited networks to pitch to create a campaign to build its corporate brand in key markets, including the UK, China, Japan, Europe and North America. The move followed the company's appointment of Bartle Bogle Hegarty as its global advertising agency for its Devices business division in February.
