Access4Artists CEO to Speak at MediaBistro Social Curation Summit

Dec 06, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Access4Artists (a4a) founder and CEO, Kiate Moy, announced it will speak at the MediaBistro Social Curation Summit, in Los Angeles as a panelist.

Other panel members will include Jack Krawczyk, head of monetization at StumbleUpon; Nola Weinstein, executive editorial director at Glam.com; and Jamie Berger, CEO at Uncovet.

As part of the "Artists on the Verge: The Democratization of Artistic Achievement through Social Media" panel, Moy will provide insight on how talent from musicians to models and filmmakers use social media to elevate their careers, as well as the importance of an active social presence and networking for creative communities.

According to a release, Access4Artists.com is an online global talent platform for actors, comedians, dancers, filmmakers, models, musicians and poets. The community helps artists garner industry attention and advance their careers through fan-driven activity and monthly contests.

"Social media is crucial to increasing artist visibility and recognition among the movers and shakers in the industry," said Moy. "Many Access4Artists experience significant growth in their fan bases and requests for appearances as a result of their presence on Access4Artists.com. We also attribute this to Access4Artists' vast social media presence." Access4Artists maintains active presences on a number of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Tumblr, Pinterest and YouTube, as well as hosting a blog on its website. The a4a team also commits significant resources to engaging fans and followers on these social platforms.

On Access4Artists.com, the Company said artists create a free profile and build a fan base by posting and sharing their work in the form of photos, audio and video. Each month, fans vote for their favorite artists in a series of specialized contests. Each vote increases the possibility of attracting notice for performers by high-profile entertainment industry executives, helping artists win career-advancing prizes. Contests winners receive meaningful prizes ranging from free studio time to professional counsel from a Los Angeles publicist.

Moy was raised in the Detroit area, and as the nephew of Motown legend, Sylvia Moy has roots in the music industry. Prior to Access4Artists, he managed talent on his own time, providing him experience and insight into the world of up-and-coming, independent artists.
