China Launches ChinaSat 12 Communications SatelliteXICHANG, Nov 28, 2012 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- ChinaSat 12 communications satellite was launched by LM-3B launch vehicle in Xichang Satellite Launch Center yesterday. The satellite was manufactured by Thales Alenia Space from France. The launch was implemented according to a service contract inked this July between China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC), China Satellite Communications Co. Ltd. (China Satcom) and a Hong Kong communications satellite company. ChinaSat 12 will be under the management of China Satcom, offering commercial communications services with twenty-four C-band and twenty-three Ku-band transponders to Asia, Africa and Europe, being the 13th commercial communications satellite managed by the company.
