All models in the line feature MPEG4, built-in HD-ATSC/NTSC/QAM clear tuners, public display settings and multiple HDMI inputs.

ANTIMICROBIAL VANITY MAT NanoTouch Materials markets a line of antimicrobial mats items hotels can use as a vanity mat for guests’ personal belongings, TV channel guides or table tents. The company says the product kills bacteria, viruses and fungi.

HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE The new ATRIO hospitality management software from PAR Springer Miller gives hoteliers the choice to deploy the system on the cloud, on-premise or a combination of the two. The company says the modular suite simplifies guest-centric technology systems, resulting in streamlined operations, seamless integration, scalability, lower cost and more.

CANISTER VACUUM Sanitaire’s new SC3700 Quiet Clean canister vacuum has an assortment of accessories for bare floor, carpet and detail cleaning. The company says the lightweight (14.4 pounds), but durable unit operates quietly for day or night cleaning and features a premium filtration system. The machine quickly converts from carpet to hard surface cleaning with the flip of a button.

CARPET Designer Stacy Garcia partnered with Durkan to produce two carpet collections Wild Corners and Acid Hip that combine bold colors and striking patterns. The collections are available in 46 patterns, 18 CYP (Computer Yarn Placement) and 28 print options, as well as six colorways.

MOBILE SURVEY TAKING UniFocus introduced a mobile device functionality that it says should increase response rates for its guest, meeting planner and employee engagement feedback surveys. A dynamic link automatically displays either a mobile or standard version of the questions, based on the device the user is viewing when taking a survey: a standard version for users of desktop and laptop computers and iPads and other tablets; a shorter mobile version for users linking through a smartphone.

OVEN-TO-TABLE WARE Hall China Co. offers a line of ceramic baking and serving pans it says are durable, easy to clean and allow food on buffets and serving lines to keep its quality longer compared to pans made of plastic or stainless steel. Plastic pans, Hall says, fail to retain heat or cold, while stainless steel units continue to cook the food. The company says ceramic cookware is more scratch-resistant, which makes it easier to clean and sanitize. Hall’s line of ceramic food pans comes in eight sizes, including two deep sizes.

HAND DRYER TRI-Umph is a new addition to American Specialties’ Roval Collection of hand dryers. The company says the automatic high-speed dryer is a super-hygienic, fast-drying and competitively priced option for commercial washrooms. The unit’s ergonomic design allows users to dry their hands in a natural position without water splash-back or water falling to the floor and creating a hazard. Its filter system is comprised of three layers of filter: HEPA, carbon and anti-microbial.

TOOTHBRUSH HOLDER The Stand and Stow toothbrush holder from Lightbulb LLC is a hotel amenity that provides guests with a clean place to stand their toothbrushes in the bathroom and a convenient place to store the brushes when they leave. A customization program from the company allows hotels to place their logos on the item.

New to this edition are discussions of payment card industry compliance, revised ADA regulations, information on social media and more.

WIRELESS PA SYSTEM The Loudmouth Wireless PA System from Ritron, Inc. allows hotels to use existing portable two-way radios, base stations or mobile radios to deliver live voice messages at a distance of up to two miles away, making the system suitable for general paging or announcements, weather emergencies, security announcements and more. The company says the system installs easily and virtually anywhere with no trenching or extensive wiring required.

STACKABLE SEATING The Piper Chair from MTS Seating is contemporary and comfortable and takes stackable banquet seatings to “an elegant new level,” says the company. SUSTAINABLE FURNITURE The Plank Collection of furniture, developed by Pfeiffer Lab for furniture manufacturer Council, is made of Perennial Wood, a product made in the U.S. from domestically harvested Southern pine.

The manufacturer says the wood undergoes a proprietary process that transforms its cell structure, leaving no toxic substances and providing a physical barrier that resists damage from outdoor elements for decades.

UPRIGHT VACUUM The SC9050B lightweight commercial upright vacuum from Sanitaire features a more durable design in a lightweight, easy-to-maneuver frame, says the company. The frame is made of magnesium, which is 75% lighter than steel and 33% lighter than aluminum. A new design allows users to place their foot on the vacuum hood and release the vacuum from the upright position without the use of the foot pedal.

FLATWORK IRONER CLEANER Tingue, Brown & Co. introduced a heavy-duty Continuous Belt Cleaner for flatwork ironers. Using an abrasive mesh strip design, the cleaner accesses difficult-to-reach areas directly under the ironer to remove large amounts of dirt, lint, grime, wax and other contaminants that accumulate over time.
