Precision Software Achieves Oracle Validated Integration with Oracle Transportation Management

(NASDAQ: QADA) (NASDAQ: QADB), a leading provider of transportation and trade management solutions and a Gold level member of the Oracle (News - Alert)® Partner Network (OPN), today announced it has achieved Oracle Validated Integration of Precision Software Transportation Management System (TMS) Parcel v2012 with Oracle Transportation Management 6.2.

Precision TMS now offers a comprehensive multi-carrier manifesting application integrated with Oracle Transportation Management to support small parcel shipping. This enhances rapid shipment processing for high volume shipping environments. The integration offers carrier compliant label generation and end-of-day manifesting utilizing Precision Software global carrier certifications (more than 40 worldwide).

To achieve Oracle Validated Integration, Oracle partners are required to meet a stringent set of requirements that are based on the needs and priorities of the customers. With the continuing growth of online retailing, the requirement to support parcel shipping is more important than ever. It is now becoming essential for companies to include parcel in their freight mix and this is a driving force for the integration. Precision Software TMS extends the functionality of Oracle Transportation Management by making it easier for customers to consider parcel carrier services during rate analysis and planning.

The connectivity between the systems allows customers to build shipping networks that include parcel carrier services. This also allows for these shipments to be considered during planning and optimization in Oracle Transportation Management.
