The google insider [New Straits Time (Malaysia)]

(New Straits Time (Malaysia) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) GOOGLE is the place to go whenever somebody wants to find something. Whether it's an answer to a question or a solution to a problem, it attracts 200 million people every day, which adds up to 80% of the overall traffic on the Internet.

Since day one, Google has always had the same goal: to maximise the user experience. Any changes Google makes are always in effort to combat websites that provide users with negative experiences.

Internet entrepreneur Simon Leung has four-and-a-half years corporate working experience at Google (from April 2002 to August 2006), which earned him the title "Google Insider" within the Internet Marketing community.

Originally from Hong Kong, Leung moved to United States since young, where he grew up in San Francisco, attending school and eventually university in the Bay Area.

"I landed my first full-time corporate position at Google Headquarters shortly before my graduation.

"I am known as the Google Insider not only because I worked there, but because I co-founded the Google Optimisation Team, and I was the one personally responsible for developing the optimisation strategies, implementing them for clients, while growing and training a team to do the same.

Leung said the experience was invaluable as it allowed him to build multiple businesses on his own, which include providing Internet Marketing services to clients, training staff to handle search engine marketing campaigns, and teaching students around the world on how to use the Internet to make a full-time living at home.

Today, Leung is a sought after speaker in many areas of internet marketing, including search engine optimisation and social media marketing.

Currently on a two-week holiday in Hong Kong to spend time with family and friends, Leung will be back to Kuala Lumpur next weekend for a workshop from Nov 23 to 25, called "Real Lead Generation Secrets", where he will teach students a lead generation system consisting of market research, website creation, website conversion, search engine marketing, email marketing, and various business models, where lead generation is the main form of monetisation.

He said: "The entire syllabus is designed with creating a Google- friendly business system in mind, where we make sure that everything the students do are not only compliant with Google policies, but also loved and adored by the world's best search engine, resulting in enhanced results, even in the most competitive markets".

In this Q&A, Leung talks about optimising Google for your business profit in the online and offline world.

Q: How well does the public know and understand how to use Google to grow their business For the general public, very few know or understand how to monetise with it.

At the end of the day, Google is, in fact, a massive traffic generation method, and the only way to make money with it (or anything, for that matter) is to have the right business model combined with the right marketing system and tools.

Those who know and implement them will inevitably find success in almost every new business venture they touch.

In my workshop, I teach students how to utilise existing Google properties which it already offers for free, along with high authority social media websites, and combine them with unique business models to ultimately turn any business successful in 2013 and beyond.

Q: Please share five things reader can do straightaway to optimise their online business.

1 Market Research - Consumers who are ready to buy are either looking for an answer to a question, or a solution to a problem. You must do your market research to find these potential customers.

2 Create Website - Since we are building an online business, our place of business is on the Internet. How can people find you if you do not have a website They can't. That's why you need one! 3 Conversion - Having a website is not enough. Statistics say that 95% of online businesses fail because 80% or more people who visit your website leaves in about 7 to 8 seconds, while some leave immediately right after the first glance. For this reason, you need to make sure your website is set up for conversion.

4 Traffic Generation - Google.com receives 200 million searches a day, but when combined with its partners and other social media websites (called the Google Network), this consists of 80% or more of the overall traffic in existence on the Internet. Understanding how to get traffic from Google is crucial in making any business succeed.

5 Monetisation - No website can be profitable without a monetisation strategy.

From business models that allow you to make money from home without talking to anyone to those that allows you to build real businesses with clients and teams, all can be extremely profitable when you follow the right marketing system.

As long as you have set up the right monetisation funnel, every new visitor you get to your website is a new opportunity for you to make money. Since the Internet never sleeps, you can still be making money while you do! Q: What are the benefits of having an internet lifestyle There are many benefits of having an internet lifestyle. Imagine never having to go to work again, going on vacations whenever you want, spending all the time in the world with your family and friends, and basically having the financial freedom, time freedom, location freedom, and lifestyle freedom, to do whatever you want, for as long as you want. Without this knowledge, this Internet lifestyle is impossible for the average person.
