BRIEF: Cell phones stolen from Havre de Grace Verizon store

Nov 15, 2012 (The Aegis - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- About a dozen cell phones were stolen from a Verizon store in Havre de Grace in what appears to be an inside job.

Between 10 and 15 Apple iPhone and Samsung phones were reported stolen at 10:10 a.m. Monday from the store in the 900 block of Pulaski Highway, Ofc. Jeff Gilpin of Havre de Grace police said.

There were no signs of forced entry to the store, Gilpin said.

"It may sound ridiculous, but the detectives would not like me to give out the exact amount because of the investigation," he said regarding the exact number of phones.

The value of the phones is more than $6,500.

Police were reviewing surveillance from the store in hopes of finding thief or thieves.
