(New Straits Time (Malaysia) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) LENOVO has announced three new convertible devices designed for the Windows 8 platform. For consumers, the touch-optimised convertibles include the IdeaPad Yoga 13 Ultrabook, offering a blend of work and play and the IdeaPad Yoga 11, a svelte, all-day mobile companion.



For professionals, Lenovo introduced the ThinkPad Twist, a business-ready Ultrabook and the first in the ThinkPad line of new convertible devices.

Available through the nearest reseller, the IdeaPad Yoga 13 and IdeaPad Yoga 11 will be available next month. Prices start from RM3,399 and RM2,599 respectively. The ThinkPad Twist will be available from mid- November 2012 with prices starting from RM3,519.


AT ONE WITH FASHION HTC Corp launched HTC One X+ and two Windows phones - Windows Phone 8X and 8S - in Singapore recently.

To accentuate the devices' emphasis on design, the phones were showcased in a fashion show in collaboration with Singapore's design house Depression.

The HTC One X+ is available in Stealth Black and Polar White.

Meanwhile,the two Windows phones feature the new Windows Phone 8 operating system with Live Tiles and studio-quality sound with Beats Audio.

They feature a 2.1mp, f/2.0 aperture, 88oultra-wideangle front- facing camera that allows up to four people and more to be captured at once. It also supports 1080p video capture.

The Windows Phone 8X meanwhile comes in a variety of colours including California Blue and Graphite Black, The Windows Phone 8S will be available in Fiesta Red and Atlantic Blue.

All three will be available in Malaysia very soon.

Guests were treated to a Marrakesh-themed dinner flavoured with entertainment, stand-up comedy and lucky draws. Four awards were given away as recognition to top industry achievers. The guest of honour for the evening was Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Deputy Minister Datuk Fadillah Yusof.
