The DuoVero Crystal COM provides dual core, dual camera, and dual video output in the same size footprint, and at the same price, as the Overo® WaterSTORM COM; it includes 1 GB of RAM and a dual-core ARM® Cortex-A9 with symmetric multiprocessing running at 1GHz, for $169. It also includes an integrated POWERVR(TM) SGX540 graphics accelerator capable of driving complex videos as advanced as 3D gaming and 3D user interfaces. With the DuoVero Crystal COM, embedded designers can produce full HD 1080p with faster, higher quality image and video capture with digital SLR-like imaging up to 20 megapixels.

"Our OMAP4430 processor enables unmatched, highly responsive user experiences, as evident in the strong feature set on Gumstix's DuoVero COM," said Mike Schoonover, industrial business development manager, OMAP(TM) platform business unit, TI. "We're proud to work with a company that understands the importance of advanced mobile technologies, and encourages designers to leverage each and every unique capability of the OMAP 4 platform." In addition to the DuoVero(TM) Crystal COM at $169, Gumstix is announcing the DuoVero Parlor Expansion Board ($59) as a development set-top box kit, and the DuoVero Chateau Breakout Board ($69) for general engineering. All three products can be purchased directly from Gumstix website.
