ENBALA Makes List of Canada's 2013 Clean50 for Contribution to Renewable Energy

TORONTO, ONTARIO, Sep 18, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Ron Dizy, President and CEO of ENBALA Power Networks has been named in Delta Management's 2013 Clean50 Awards in the category of Renewable Energy. The 2013 Clean50 Awards recognizes individuals and teams that have pioneered revolutionary projects for alternative energy innovation and clean capitalism in Canada. ENBALA is a world leader of developing and operating a unique Smart Grid platform, pioneering innovation to balance the real-time supply and demand for electricity through industrial, commercial and institutional facilities.

Nominees for this year's Clean50 Renewable Energy were asked to submit a project that has had an outstanding measurable impact in the industry. Under Mr. Dizy's leadership, ENBALA operates a Smart Grid platform that offers electricity grid operators an innovative way to integrate the operation of renewable power generation sources, such as wind and solar, into the grid. This is a real-time, robust, reliable and resilient approach that increases the grid's efficiency and reliability, while providing a new revenue stream for large electricity users that are engaged to participate in the solution.

"Clean50 Honourees have produced actual results we can quantify - and that we used for peer comparison. Being named to the Clean50 means you've done measurable good," said Gavin Pitchford, Chief Talent Officer, Delta Management Group, and Founder of the Canada's Clean50 Awards.

"I am proud to accept this award on behalf of the great team we have at ENBALA," said Ron Dizy, President and CEO, ENBALA Power Networks.

"We have worked hard to provide companies a solution that benefits their bottom line and reduces greenhouse gases through their involvement in supporting the modernization of the electric power system. We are excited to continue to drive implementation of our platform with power systems in Canada, the U.S. and globally. I am honoured to be included in the Clean50." Ron Dizy has led ENBALA since 2007. In addition, Mr. Dizy plays an active role as board member on the Ontario Energy Association, the Washington, D.C. based Association for Demand Response and Smart Grid and Ron was elected chair of the Corporate Partners Committee of the Ontario Smart Grid Forum.
