AURELIUS ANNOUNCES EUR10M INVESTMENT PLAN FOR GETRONICS

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 07 September 2012 Release date- 06092012 - London - Following its recent acquisition of Getronics Europe/APAC, AURELIUS is kicking off a major investment drive of EUR10 million into the company.

The investment forms a crucial part of Getronics' IT strategy to further enhance services for customers.

Cloud portfolio As a result of the investment, customers will benefit from an extension to the Getronics cloud portfolio.

This will provide clients with an end-to-end managed service, including hosting of business applications, online workspace and provisioning of standard IT services on the platform.

Infrastructure Following its acquisition by AURELIUS, Getronics was able to move its applications into a cutting-edge private cloud to support its new global infrastructure. This new infrastructure will support a single platform across the entire Getronics group, enabling employees to work across one unified system and share services across the group.

Bring Your Own Device The investment will also finance a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) capability for Getronics employees.

This will enable Getronics employees to use their preferred devices whilst remaining within a secure IT environment.

Andreas Ziegenhain, CEO of Getronics, says: 'Having a parent company that sees Getronics as a good vehicle for investment gives us a great assurance that we can continue to grow as a business across all territories. AURELIUS' investment in Getronics has helped us become an interconnected organisation with employees now working across one platform and sharing services.

This additional investment in our business, which has come within a matter of weeks after acquisition, will greatly benefit Getronics, and in turn result in improvements for our customers. The new cloud portfolio will enable us to offer our customers a complete end-to-end managed service, giving them even greater peace of mind that their IT assets are in the best possible hands.

Furthermore, we see the acquisition and investment as a huge opportunity to build Getronics as a global business, competing with other large players in the ICT services market. International collaboration is going to be crucial to our strategy going forward, so the fact that employees are supported by the same infrastructure globally will go a long way in enabling customers to take advantage of services previously only available to other countries.'
