Principal consultant Chad Mosman knows the route. As a former Microsoft employee and seasoned IT troubleshooter, Mosman spotted the cloud early in its formation.

He founded MessageOps in 2009 with one mission – assisting clients with their Microsoft Online migration. Mission No. 2 came with the territory – developing free, downloadable software to enhance clients’ cloud experiences.

So far it’s a successful approach.

“We’re all pretty technical people,” Mosman said. “So we’re not out there calling the customers. Very rarely do we call customers. They typically call us and how we’ve done that is by just developing a lot of useful content.” And their phones keep ringing. Emails and word-of-mouth referrals continue popping in their mailboxes – all of it without a sales staff, which is by design. The company has augmented the cloud computer landscape with a selection of custom applications that help businesses get the most out of the cloud space.

“Our niche is really that we do have all these solutions developed,” Mosman said, adding it’s a two-way street, and that, “A lot of these applications have come from talks with customers and seeing what they need and what would make their jobs easier.” While the company is growing and its influence is expanding, the principals focus on continuing with their proven approach. Despite the success they have enjoyed, the team maintains some core ideals.

“It’s very good to have a small group of really nice, really smart people to bounce ideas off of each other,” Michael said.
