Kyrgyzstan was nominated for this category among Bahrain, Colombia, Indonesia. The GSMA announced the winners of the 17th Annual Global Mobile awards, held at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 28. The Government of Colombia won the Outstanding Achievement Award in the result. Kyrgyzstan was noted for introduction of 3G, LTE and WiMax, a high penetration level, distance learning programs, affordable mobile market and reduction of administrative barriers. The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide.
