NetAmerica Completes Installation of IMS SuperCenter and NOC

DALLAS, Jan. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- NetAmerica Alliance, LLC today announced that it has completed installation and has begun testing of its SuperCenter, which houses both the Alliance's IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) as well as its 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC). The SuperCenter is manned and run by NetAmerica personnel in support of Alliance Members who are deploying 4G LTE service in their respective license areas.

(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20110322/DA68213LOGO) IMS is an architectural framework for delivering a full range of integrated Internet Protocol (IP) based multimedia services. IMS forms the basis for NetAmerica to fulfill one of its core responsibilities to its members, which is to continually drive increasing levels of member revenue by enabling those members to offer a rich array of services and applications to their customers. It does so with the personalized control necessary to simplify and tailor the customer's communications experience to meet their specific needs. For independent carriers looking to protect their wireline and/or cellular business while including 4G LTE in their service offering in the move to true convergence, an IMS powered network is key.

Before the NetAmerica Alliance, independent carriers who owned wireless spectrum faced the quandary that while they needed an IMS architecture to evolve their network and a 24/7 operations center to monitor it, the capital investment, services development, and staffing costs were unaffordable for any but the largest carriers. NetAmerica Alliance made that investment, and through its business relationship with Alliance Members, shares the cost of that investment among them. In this manner, Alliance Members get the benefit of the infrastructure and services, while maintaining their independence and running their own local networks.

"The services provided by the SuperCenter are important to our Alliance Members, but that only represents one facet of our alliance model," said Roger Hutton, Chairman and CEO of NetAmerica. "National marketing and selling programs, shared best practices for service delivery and customer care, and advanced application development are some other of the many benefits members realize by joining the Alliance." "Completion of our world class SuperCenter is a milestone for the Alliance," said Scott Donlea, EVP and COO of NetAmerica. "It allows members to compete on a level not possible without the Alliance and provides the services they need, together with 24/7 support, to offer advanced services to the citizens of rural America." About NetAmerica Alliance, LLC NetAmerica Alliance, LLC is an alliance of independent carriers, led by an experienced management team, who have joined forces to build-out 4G LTE service in the carriers' license coverage areas. Through the Alliance, members gain collective strength and cost advantages comparable to that of large carriers. In effect, many separate operating entities essentially become one, while maintaining their independence.

NetAmerica provides advanced multimedia IP services, buying power, nationwide branding, marketing and training programs, a network operations center, key networking elements, applications development and nationwide roaming arrangements. Members run the network in their own territories, while NetAmerica empowers advanced revenue generating services and provides the critical mass and economies of scale needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive environment.
