Hurricane Electric establishes point-of-presence at Equinix Paris Exchange

May 05, 2011 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Hurricane Electric, an IPv6-native Internet backbone and colocation provider, today announced that it has established a point-of-presence at the Equinix Paris Exchange in France.

This expansion is intended to allow the company to improve fault tolerance, load balancing and congestion management infrastructure capabilities in its next-generation IP access services. The network expansion will also enable Equinix customers to directly exchange IP traffic or "peer" with Hurricane Electric's global Internet backbone.

Hurricane's new point-of-presence at the Equinix Paris Exchange follows similar expansions late last year at Comfluent in Denver, Equinix Singapore and The Northwest Access Exchange (NWAX) in Portland, Oregon.
