Kyocera Communications launches dual-touchscreen smartphone, Kyocera Echo

Apr 18, 2011 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Wireless products and accessories provider Kyocera Communications Inc, part of Kyocera Corporation (NYSE:KYO) (TOKYO:6971), yesterday announced the launch of a new Android device, Kyocera Echo.

The new smartphone, which features a dual-touchscreen, is available exclusively at Sprint for USD199.99 plus taxes with a new two-year service agreement or eligible upgrade.

The Kyocera Echo features two high-resolution 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen displays connected by a patent-pending Super Copper Alloy "pivot hinge". The device is designed to allow users to use both displays independently, side-by-side or combined to form a tablet-like display with 800 x 960 pixels in a 4.7-inch (diagonal) display.
