Dollar General Literacy Foundation Awards More Than $778,000 to Reduce Literacy Service Waiting ListsGOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. --(Business Wire)-- The Dollar General Literacy Foundation announced today that it has awarded more than $778,000 to 108 nonprofit literacy organizations that have waiting lists. The Waiting List Reduction Grant supports adult literacy programs' efforts to decrease the number of individuals waiting for literacy services. Adult literacy organizations across the country are facing increased demands for service, while struggling with decreases in available resources and funds. The Dollar General Literacy Foundation Waiting List Reduction grant helps literacy programs immediately ngage potential students in learning activities.
