Golden Pacific announces new board appointmentNov 15, 2010 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Golden Pacific Bancorp has announced that Shami Patel has been appointed to the board of directors for Golden Pacific Bancorp as well as Golden Pacific Bank and Gold Country Bank. Mr Patel is a private investor in the financial services sector. He is a current member of the Board at Duke University Law School, as well as a member of the Board of the Seven Hills School in Walnut Creek, California. Previously, Mr Patel served as COO and Chief Investment Officer for Alesco Financial, a mortgage real estate investment trust with over $15 billion in assets. Mr Patel also served as the managing director of Cohen and Company, where he managed $11 billion in bank and insurance company investments. "Mr Patel brings an incredible amount of experience to our Board of Directors.
