eFax(R) Wireless Faxing Featured in New HP All-in-One Printer

LOS ANGELES, Sept 21, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- eFax(R) today announced the integration of eFax into the new HP Photosmart eStation, a wireless all-in-one printer with a detachable 7-inch touch screen. The unit's faxing capabilities are powered by eFax, eliminating the need for fax hardware or a phone line. eFax offers professional, enterprise, and back-office Internet fax services and is online at www.efax.com.

The eFax branded service can be used to send up to 20 pages and receive up to 20 pages per month at no charge. New eFax customers can easily sign up for the bundled service through the MFP's touch screen and immediately receive their own dedicated fax number. Existing eFax customers simply need to sign in through the touch screen using their existing eFax number and pin code.

"This product integration underscores our commitment to take eFax to a new level, one which moves beyond basic fax to the broader needs of document management, security, and mobility," said Mike Pugh, vice president, marketing for j2 Global Communications, Inc. "Until now, faxes were sent and received via fax machines connected to phone lines. Through our relationship with HP, eStation customers have the convenience of a traditional faxing solution, but now envisioned for a wireless world." The technology integration into HP's new device is part of j2 Global Communications' recently announced "eFax Next(TM)" initiative, an orchestrated series of partnerships, new features, and updates to the eFax service intended to evolve the way people move, approve, and protect their documents.

Software, hardware, and service companies interested in partnership opportunities with eFax should contact the company's business development team via email at partners@j2global.com, or via phone at 858-227-9131.
