Intermedia to launch hosted PBX VoIP service(Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Microsoft Exchange hosting provider Intermedia today announced the launch of a new hosted PBX VoIP service which integrates with Intermedia's hosted Exchange e-mail service enabling customers to access both unlimited domestic (US and Canada) calling and extension dialling and unified communications (UC) features such as click-to-call and voicemail to e-mail. The company said that the new service can be accessed by customers from the company's proprietary HostPilot Control Panel, providing them with a single point of control for their communications services. The service provides features such as a voice menu to direct incoming calls to the correct extension, hunt groups and follow me/find me, which allows extension users to redirect calls to another extension. It also includes features such as a direct phone number, unique extension, E911 Service, caller ID, call waiting, call transfer, call forwarding and 3-way calling. The service can expand into a full UC service if customers add hosted Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) and OCS Calling features. The service is provided to Intermedia by its VoIP partner, Unison Communications Inc. The company said that it is offering a promotional rate on the service at USD25 per month per user for the first three months, but did not indicate the normal cost of the service after this promotional period ends.
