New England Venture Network (NEVN) Announces Fairhaven Capital's Rudina Seseri As Co-Chair

New England Venture Network (NEVN), the largest network of young venture capital professionals on the East Coast, has announced that Rudina Seseri, a Principal at Fairhaven Capital, has been appointed the organization's co-chair. A member of NEVN's steering committee, Seseri joins Geraldine Alias, a Principal at Volition Capital, as co-chair of the 10-year-old organization. She replaces Joe Medved, a Principal at Softbank Capital, who previously served as co-chair of NEVN and remains on its steering committee.

"Rudina has strong local ties, and is very committed to the VC and nonprofit communities that operate in and serve New England," said Alias. "As busy as we all are, she finds time to support NEVN in its mission to help our members cultivate sustained relationships within the community, share resources, source deals, and advance their careers." Seseri has worked at Fairhaven Capital since its inception in 2007. Previously, she was a Senior Manager in the Corporate Development Group at Microsoft and an investment banker in the Information Technology Group at Credit Suisse. Seseri graduated magna cum laude from Wellesley College and received her MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Open to qualified members of the venture capital industry, NEVN (www.nevnweb.com) serves as a community where young venture capital professionals can network and further their careers, both at offline events and online at VentureNetwork.VC. The organization also helps promote and support sponsored local nonprofit organizations. The award for contributions to the nonprofit community, now in its second year, is another way NEVN supports the sector.
