'NetAachen launches CDMA450-based internet services in Dueren'


(DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) German regional network operator NetAachen has deployed a wireless broadband network in the region Dueren to offer internet access with 2/1.8 Mbps as maximum speeds. The operator will continue its network expansion to Dueren and its surrounding region, but wanted to offer the inhabitants a solution to access internet as they are not yet connected. The service is called InternetOnAir and costs EUR 19.90 per month in combination with a 24 months contract. For existing NetAachen customers pay EUR 14.90 per month and the wireless router, NetConnect OnAir, is available for EUR 99 instead of the usual EUR 149.90. The wireless network is based on CDMA450 technology. NetAachen is joint-venture of NetCologne and local utilities provider Stawag.
