Hub unveils new insurance solution for technology companies

Feb 05, 2010 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Hub International, a US-based insurance broker, has introduced the Hub Technology Solutions, an integrated suite of insurance products designed in order to bring middle market technology companies the coverage enhancements and options that have been historically only available to large corporate clients.

The new product suite has been developed by Hub and CNA. Hub said that Hub Technology Solutions is intended for multiple segments of the technology industry including manufacturers of electronic products, providers of telecommunication, internet and application services, and distributors of electronics.

Hub Technology Solutions is tailored to the needs of technology companies and offers a wide range of coverage options including: industry-specific property endorsements covering R&D restoration expenses; management liability coverage on a multi-line package or standalone basis for employment practices, directors and officers and fiduciary liability; comprehensive general liability, automobile, workers' compensation, and umbrella coverage; information risk and first- and third-party cyber coverage; errors and omissions coverage that can be coordinated with general liability and cyber coverage; and international coverage available in 100 countries.

Optional coverages are also available, including personal and advertising injury extension, electronic data liability, and an eco-care property endorsement that provides for green upgrades to buildings and contents damaged as a result of a covered loss, the company added.

Julie Zimmer, vice president of sales and middle market segment leader, said: "Working with leading carriers like CNA enables us to offer customized solutions within specific industry segments. We are enhancing the level of consultative services we provide to middle market clients through peer group analysis of risk exposure and claims experience. By sharing data that is specific to their industry, we can help clients determine the optimal insurance and risk management solution. We then pair that with a bundled coverage plan that specifically addresses those needs." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
