ACL Services Releases AuditExchange 2.0

VANCOUVER, British Columbia --(Business Wire)-- ACL Services Ltd. today announced the release of AuditExchange (AX) 2.0, the next generation of audit technology. ACL is the leading global provider of business assurance technology for audit and compliance professionals.

The new AuditExchange 2.0 business assurance platform: Provides comprehensive management of working papers and audit content in a secure, centralized environment Makes data analysis easy and accessible to the entire team Enables continuous auditing and monitoring with the ability to manage and track exceptions "ACL AuditExchange 2.0 will allow our agency to automate analytic testing and quickly find anomalies for further review. An auditor can run an analytic, get the exceptions in a report, and make a judgment call about what further action needs to be taken - all within a secure server environment that will facilitate agency-wide collaboration," said Holli Harrison, IS Auditor at the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor and participant in the AuditExchange 2.0 Beta testing program.

Now all members of the audit team, including those with no previous data analytics experience, can leverage the power of analytics into all their audit work.

"In this era of constrained resources, ACL's new business assurance platform empowers the entire audit team, not just the traditional technology specialists, to be more productive and provide better insight and assurance," said Harald Will, president and CEO of ACL Services Ltd.

"Internal audit teams pressured to complete more of the annual audit plan are also striving to improve the quality and depth of individual audits," added Will. "Achieving these goals with limited resources has proven to be a substantial challenge, as noted in recent studies, including PricewaterhouseCoopers' (News - Alert) State of the Internal Audit Profession for 2009. We all know technology is the key. " "AuditExchange 2.0 will fundamentally transform how we manage spending and evaluate compliance," said Hal Laughlin, IT audit manager, Dun & Bradstreet (News - Alert), who also participated in the AuditExchange 2.0 Beta testing program. "The new exception reporting will now provide senior leadership with a clear picture of our control environment." New and enhanced features include: Centralized Audit Content Management: For the first time ever, working papers, audit programs, analytic elements, as well as data and results for a specific audit engagement can be created and managed in a centralized and secure repository. Access can be easily restricted to only those working on - or overseeing - that specific audit engagement. Content can include working paper documentation, Microsoft (News - Alert)® Word, Excel® and PowerPoint® files, PDFs, audio and even photographic images. To make finding content simpler, secure URLs can be attached to each artifact, enabling efficient cross referencing.

Continuous Auditing and Monitoring: Auditors can efficiently access data from disparate systems and schedule automated analysis across large volumes of transactions. AuditExchange 2.0 creates a secure communication bridge that allows internal audit to validate their findings and share results with other business stakeholders. It enables the distribution, tracking and escalation of specific exceptions, driving the benefits of continuous monitoring into the business.

Analytics Made Easy: ACL AuditExchange 2.0 introduces a new Web-based interface that makes analysis easy for every member of the audit team, including those with no previous data analytics experience. And non-specialists can run pre-packaged analytic tests built for specific audit objectives, which ensure faster results.

The ACL AuditExchange 2.0 platform consists of multiple complementary components. A modular licensing and services structure gives organizations the flexibility to focus resources and investments on priority areas and scale incrementally as needed.
