XtremeMac Turns Up the Cool with Edgy Accessories that Intensify the Apple® Experience
SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--
Dig your Apple® products even more with XtremeMac in the New Year. A portfolio brand of Imation Corp. (NYSE: IMN), XtremeMac designs innovative, high quality products that enhance the Apple experience. Visit XtremeMac in booth 1102 at the Macworld Conference & Expo this week for a look at the new XtremeMac and accessories for iPod®, iPhone™ 3G and more, including the Micromemo, which turns your iPod nano into a pocket-size recording studio.
XtremeMac is committed to introduce gear that enhances the Apple experience, from the Micromemo - a must-have device to capture that crucial meeting or weighty college lecture right into your iPod nano - to speakers and chargers for the iPhone 3G. You can expect more slick gear from XtremeMac built exclusively for Apple products throughout the year, including new accessories for the MacBook.
"XtremeMac shares the same passion for Apple products as consumers who refuse to buy anything but," said Jeff Meredith, executive director, Global Consumer Marketing, Imation Corp. "This passion is what inspires and motivates us to create fresh, original accessories like the new Micromemo with features that enhance the iPod nano experience."
The Micromemo digital voice recorder for the fourth generation iPod nano inspires you to record and create. Features like the flexible, detachable and omni-directional mic let you capture sounds from anywhere in the room. A backing that encases the nano, not only holds the Micromemo upright during recording, but also offers added protection. Use it for fun or work. A built-in speaker makes playing back recordings to share with friends and co-workers convenient; and the ability to operate off the iPod nano's battery, eliminates the need for an extra power adapter.
Interfacing with the Micromemo is extremely easy. The Micromemo is fully integrated into iPod nano's simple menu, so you can control it from there. The recording time is displayed on your iPod nano screen in real-time, and an illuminated recording status indicator lets you know if the recorder is on. Managing your recordings is also a breeze. Recordings are saved on the iPod nano as .wav files. When you connect your iPod nano to the computer, the recording files are automatically detected by iTunes®, which displays them according to date and time. Once imported into the computer, rename the files and use them to create podcasts and presentations or to add your commentary to videos and slideshows.
Micromemo's clean lines and housing have also been customized to fit the contoured shape and eye-catching chromatic colors of Apple's iPod nano. The Micromemo attaches right onto the iPod nano and the pair fits discretely in the palm of a hand.
The Micromemo also accepts other microphones with a 3.5mm plug, and can record audio directly from a computer or soundboard via line-in capabilities. The XtremeMac Micromemo complies with the precise performance standards established for Apple's devices and bears the "Made for iPod" certification badge. Micromemo comes in black and will be available in for sale starting in March for a suggested retail price of $49.95.
