Deltek Appoints Tom Manley as Board Member(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Deltek, a provider of enterprise applications software for project-focused organizations, announced that it has appointed Tom Manley to its Board of Directors. Manley also was appointed as chairman of the Audit Committee beginning August 16, succeeding Bert Notini, who remains on the Board and Audit Committee. Manley is a software and telecommunications senior executive with more than 25 years of global experience in a variety of leadership roles. He was appointed as the CFO of Avaya, a provider of business communications applications, systems and services, in July 2008. Prior to this position and beginning in 2001, Manley was the CFO and Senior VP, Administration of Cognos (an IBM company), a leader in business intelligence and performance management solutions. Before joining Cognos, Manley spent 18 years with Nortel Networks, most recently as CFO for the High Performance Optical Component Solutions Group. "Tom brings to Deltek a wealth of strategic, operational, financial and leadership experience," said Kevin Parker, president and CEO of Deltek. "With his rich and extensive background in the software industry he will be a valuable addition to our board as we continue to grow our company."
