Zoran's 'Approach 5C' Powers LG's New Viewty 5 Megapixel Camera Phone

Zoran Corp. announced that its Approach 5C multimedia processor powers
LG's new Viewty camera phone.

The LG Viewty phone adopted the Approach 5C processor in order to
provide quality viewing enjoyment to consumers.

"LG Viewty is the best camera phone on the market providing an
unprecedented digital photography experience. Zoran enabled us to
provide high quality stills and video capture as well as new features
that deliver creativity and fun to the consumer," said Dr. Woo-Young
Kwak, vice president mobile handset R&D center, LG Electronics Mobile
Communications company.

"It is very exciting for us to enable multimedia features and high
quality still and video recording in this attractive camera phone,"
said Coby Sella, senior vice president, general manager, Zoran's Mobile
Division. "Building on our worldwide leadership in digital cameras, we
have worked closely with LG to provide new and exciting photo and video
editing capabilities. The Approach 5C processor inside the LG Viewty
phone is the engine that enables a high-level camera experience for
users together with the ability to enhance their pictures through
extensive editing features. Its video unit provides enhanced video play
and record capabilities supporting a DVD-class video experience as well
as slow-motion clip recording."

Zoran's Approach 5C multimedia processors support a variety of
multimedia functions, including best-in-class ISP image quality based
on Zoran's successful COACH solutions for digital point-and-shoot and
DSLR cameras, enhanced video play and record capabilities,
multi-standard end-to-end Mobile TV, integrated TV-out, and High Speed
USB 2.0. Zoran's Approach multimedia processors leverage technology
found in Zoran's digital imaging and digital entertainment products.
