BOSTON, VON Fall, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ditech Networks , a leader in the development of voice processing solutions for communications networks, today announced that InterCall, the largest dedicated conferencing service provider in the world and a subsidiary of West Corporation, has chosen Ditech Network's Packet Voice Processor (PVP) for use in its new voice over IP (VoIP) conferencing service. Ditech's PVP will give InterCall a higher degree of control over the quality of the IP-based voice conferencing traffic transported across the public Internet. Ditech equipment will be instrumental in assuring voice quality for thousands of InterCall conferencing customers across the country.

The Ditech Packet Voice Processor platform builds upon Ditech's expertise in voice processing to provide carriers with a solution for ensuring high voice quality in packet-based networks while simultaneously maximizing call capacity. Features based on Ditech's hallmark Voice Quality Assurance(TM) (VQA(TM)) software suite such as acoustic and hybrid echo cancellation, Adaptive noise reduction and Packet Quality Assurance(TM) (PQA(TM)) offer advanced voice quality processing capabilities for InterCall to deliver a high quality conference calling experience to their business customers. The PVP's wide range of codec transcoding capabilities offer lower-cost voice transmission and enable InterCall to serve a broad range of VoIP callers. Advanced voice quality monitoring capabilities enable carriers to quickly pinpoint network trouble points, receive automatic alerts, and gain advanced features for reporting customer service level agreements.
