INBOX Attendance Skyrockets in 2006; INBOX: The Email Event Focuses on Authentication, Compliance, Creative, Delivery and More

DENVER --(Business Wire)-- June 15, 2006 -- The Golden Group has announced that this year's INBOX Spring 2006 conference, the email event that took place in San Jose from May 31 through June 1, was the best yet. INBOX was attended by 572 participants - a 42 percent lift in attendance over the 2005 show.

This year, The Golden Group expanded the focus of INBOX to include both IT and marketing sessions, making the show more relevant to the entire email industry and attracting the best and brightest presenters from both sides. Thirty-eight percent of INBOX attendees this year were from executive-level management and 44 percent were sales and marketing professionals. Over half of the attendees had purchasing authority for their company.

"Following an extremely successful call for papers, it was easy to assemble the panels around the latest industry trends and hot topics," said Denise Miller, VP of event operations for The Golden Group. "Opening up the conference to the entire email community allowed the speakers to shape INBOX into the event where the industry can get together and discuss the issues that are really important in their worlds right now, such as privacy, security, reputation, lead generation and so much more."

Highlights from this year's show include: a keynote on the Art of Innovation from the Managing Director of Garage Technology Ventures and former evangelist for Apple Computers, Inc, Guy Kawasaki; an email service provider shootout and an email security shootout moderated respectively by David Daniels of JupiterResearch and Stephanie Jordan of Messaging News alongside Richi Jennings of Ferris Research; 12 general sessions devoted to the IT side of email including systems, technology and security; 12 general sessions for email marketing, focused on strategy, creative, delivery, customer retention and acquisition, as well as a closing session that told the truth about the email ecosystem with panelists from both sides of the room.

Many of the email industry's thought-leaders and influencers participated in the sessions. Some notable speakers include Bill McCloskey of Email Data Source, Steve Webster of iPost, Joshua Baer of SKYLIST, Ben Isaacson of Cheetahmail an Experian Co., Dr. Paul Judge of CipherTrust, George Schlossnagle of OmniTI and many others.

INBOX was sponsored by OmniTI, SKYLIST, IronPort, Goodmail Systems and Clearswift. Due to the success of this year's venue, the San Jose Marriott, the next INBOX event will be held in the same location in June 2007. More information will be available in fall 2006 and the request for speakers will open in November.
