Pactolus Expands To Support Customer Growth; New Directors & Managers Support Recent Wins In the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and the Americas

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- June 5, 2006 -- Pactolus Communications Software Corporation, makers of the telecom industry's most broadly deployed and comprehensive VoIP applications portfolio, today announced the appointments of four new directors and three new managers to serve its sharply expanded customer base. This newly-created management layer reflects and supports the company's 90% annual growth and increasing carrier demand for its scalable, adaptable SIPware(TM) IP voice service suite and RapidFLEX(TM) service creation & delivery platform.

Appointments include:

-- Director of Sales Western Region, Robert Carnagey, who as VP of North American Sales for VoIP service applications vendor IP Unity, and with network service creation platform and IMS applications vendor Personeta, won national accounts in Latin America, secured strategic partnership relationships with the industry's dominant vendors, and substantially broadened indirect channels.

-- Director of VAR Sales, Christopher Darsch, whose prior leadership of Pactolus' Sales Engineering Team helped establish key customers in Europe and Asia, and build channel partnerships that now successfully leverage the company's highly-flexible Service Creation Environment. Chris previous held management positions with AudioCodes and Brooktrout Technology.

-- Director of Project Management, Albert Silva, whose VP-level success in driving large-scale carrier integrations and customizations of voice processing and enhanced services resulted in the highest levels of customer satisfaction, on-time completions and deployment economics for Priority Call Inc. Al sustained and expanded customer loyalty as the corporation expanded through its acquisition by SEMA, Schlumberger, and Atos.

-- Director of Product Management, John Tallarico, who most recently drove the growth of now-pervasive packaged telecom applications at Nuance (formerly ScanSoft/Phonetic Systems). John's led successful enhanced applications initiatives among Tier 1 global wireless and wireline providers, and drove the broad market growth of prepaid services in senior management positions with Priority Call Management, Glenayre and Boston Communications Group. John holds an MBA from the University of New Haven.

-- Sales Manager Eastern Region, Brooke Mohnkern, who has already established himself with key wins for the company.

-- Sales Engineering Manager, Tom Regan, whose customer commitment and deep knowledge of Pactolus' SIPware Service portfolio has helped several customers bring their service offerings to market including Alestra, LatiNode, Primus Canada and several others.

The industry's transition to IMS is expected to further heighten demand for Pactolus' service breadth, scale and innovation-driving architecture. "We were extremely selective in recruiting this new layer of leaders to help us continue to scale and meet market demand," notes CEO Paul Blondin. "The result is a talented, experienced team that will maximize our customers' IP voice services profitability, and drive the successful migration of new customers beyond stove-piped IP service network infrastructures and expensive, fixed-scale applications. Welcome aboard, team."
