BREWING A REVOLUTION (tea parlours are frequented by people in the age group of 18-35)(India Business Insight Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)Tea parlours have opened at several places like Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai. Hindustan Lever opened the Lipton T Place at Koramangala, Bangalore in Jan 2006. The franchised outlet serves tea with flavours like jasmine, citrus, cinnamon along with iced teas. The outlet will cater to the younger generation in the 18-35 age group and will be located close to BPOs, entertainment centres and malls. The other tea parlours in India are the Dolly's in Kolkata and Infinitea, which has two parlours in Bangalore, one in Mangalore and six in Kolkata. The Camellia Tea Bar at Churchgate, Mumbai is managed by Tea Board of India. The outlet will serve masala tea, Thai tea and Irish tea along with a light meal, which includes scones and muffins. The Oxford Cha Bar is promoted by the Apeejay Group. |
