IED Unveils Web Site, New Brochure During Joint Annual Report to the Community

INDIANAPOLIS --(Business Wire)-- April 12, 2004 -- Indianapolis Economic Development (IED) launched their new web site and unveiled their 2004 brochure during The Joint Report to the Community on April 8th, hosted jointly by the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, Indianapolis Downtown, Inc. and IED.

The web site, www.IndianapolisEconomicDevelopment.com, includes local tax rates and incentives, along with detailed statistics that range from demographics and workforce to education, transportation and the cost of doing business in Indianapolis. The Indy Partnership's Information Warehouse is also available via the site, as well as the Indianapolis Economic Development Portal, a site selection tool developed by the Mayor Bart Peterson's office in partnership with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and GeoSpatial Information Services (GIS).

Both the new web site and the IED brochure will play key roles in the organization's outreach and recruiting activities in both local and outside markets. Said Melina Kennedy, Director of Economic Development for Mayor Bart Peterson's office, IED has created a valuable public tool that will aid many in relocation and expansion efforts in Indianapolis. We were pleased to share the Indianapolis Economic Development Portal, a collaborative effort that allows site selectors to search detailed, current information on available properties around the city.

In creating these new marketing materials, IED wanted to complement the branding efforts and messages of The Indy Partnership, but also differentiate ourselves, placing specific emphasis on Indianapolis, said Jeb Conrad, Executive Director of IED. The site will be a valuable resource for anyone at a local, regional, or national level to access information and data regarding economic development and opportunities in Indianapolis. We owe many thanks to The Indy Partnership, the Mayor's office, and our design firm, WilliamsRandall, added Conrad.

IED investor WilliamsRandall designed both the web site and brochure for the organization. Said Gerry Randall, CEO of WilliamsRandall Marketing and Communications, It has been a pleasure having the opportunity to work with the people at IED on their new web site and 2004 brochure. As a firm that expanded to Indianapolis and has enjoyed strong growth, we're excited to help IED with its mission to attract new businesses and help existing companies grow.
