Znyx Adds to Executive Team


Nov 05, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Znyx, a provider of high-density solution enabling platforms for carrier-grade and mission critical environments, announced that it has appointed Dan Grey as director of sales, and Pocheng Shyu as director of product management and business development.



According to a release, as director of sales, Grey will be responsible for driving the sales opportunities for the company's switches, compute blades, and fully integrated AdvancedTCA and CompactPCI platforms across multiple market segments. Pocheng Shyu will define ZNYX's product strategy, and augment the company's product offerings to meet growing market demand for high-density solution enabling platforms.

Dan will be instrumental in connecting the ideal Znyx products with equipment manufacturers, application providers, and systems integrators in carrier-grade and mission critical environments." With over 12 years of experience in product management, Shyu joins Znyx from Oracle America Corp. where he was a principal product manager in ATCA new products and special programs. Prior to Oracle, Shyu held various product management positions during his tenure at Sun Microsystems in the ATCA product line; Netra Systems, Systems BU; NEP Group, CompactPCI systems and the Network System Products Division where he managed the company's largest beta deployment of telecom products. He began his career in embedded product management at Force Computers, which was later acquired by Motorola.


With over 28 years of experience in sales, Grey has significant knowledge and experience in the embedded computer merchant market. In particular, he has worked extensively with complex board and systems solutions for network communications and data storage technologies as they apply to telecom, industrial control, military, and aerospace applications. Previously, Dan was a regional sales manager and team leader at General Electric Intelligent Platforms where he managed North American sales and West Coast OEM accounts.

Grey has also served as senior vice president sales at SBE, Inc., when the company experienced a 300 percent gain in stock value in 2003 and was recognized in Business Week as a top price-performing company; and SBS Technologies where telecom sales increased over 240 percent with design-wins at Ericsson, Nokia, Nortel, and Ciena. Earlier in Dan's career, he held senior sales manager positions at Performance Technologies, Mizar Inc., and Force Computers.
