United Insurance Holdings Corp. Previews Q3-2020 Estimated Catastrophe Losses


United Insurance Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: UIHC) (UPC Insurance or the Company), a property and casualty insurance holding company, today announced estimated current year catastrophe losses incurred during the third quarter ending September 30, 2020 of approximately $135 million before income taxes (approximately $107 million after tax), net of expected reinsurance recoveries. The Company's third quarter catastrophe losses included claims from six new named windstorms (Tropical Storm Fay, Hurricane Hanna, Hurricane Isaias, Hurricane Laura, Hurricane Marco, and Hurricane Sally) and other non-named windstorm catastrophe events.
