Retired Dunedin builder Marinus Boom sets world records in 75-plus age group at New Zealand Masters Games

Retired Dunedin builder Marinus Boom set two world records in the 75-plus age group - one for the 500 metres and another in the 1000 metres.

The 77 year-old gave it a real nudge, cheered on by 25 family members.
