Publix Super Markets Adopts BlueCube Workforce Optimization Suite from RedPrairie

MILWAUKEE --(Business Wire)-- RedPrairie Corporation announced today that Publix Super Markets, Inc., will implement its BlueCube Workforce Optimization suite. The system will provide state-of-the-art scheduling technology in all Publix Super Markets stores, at approximately 900 locations. The solution includes innovative features that leverage the full BlueCube Workforce Optimization suite, including: time and attendance, business forecasting, labor demand planning, automated optimized scheduling, associate self service, dashboards with configurable alerts and computer based training.

The BlueCube Enterprise scheduling engine uses engineered labor standards along with historical sales, traffic patterns, special events, fixed tasks, and other items such as cases and pharmacy prescriptions to provide an accurate view of labor required to meet customer and task-driven demand throughout the entire store. Employee roles, availability, and preferences are automatically aligned with labor demand to produce fully optimized work schedules that are then tracked against the system's time and attendance tools.
