Oxygen Broadband Expands Networks, Partners Chicken Republic(AllAfrica Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Oxygen Broadband Networks, a Wi-Fi Internet Solution company, has expanded its network operation to 30 internet hot spot locations in Lagos. It has equally partnered Chicken Republic, one of Nigeria's fast food chains to provide steady free high speed, Wi-Fi internet services at all its outlets across the country. The partnership agreement is such that Oxygen Broadband Networks and Chicken Republic would provide free high speed internet access for customers, at some locations of Chicken Republic in Lagos. Oxygen Broadband said it would use the opportunity to demonstrate the potential benefits of broadband access on-the-go for both Chicken Republic and Oxygen Broadband. "This starts off with the presence of Oxygen Superfast Wi-Fi Internet Network at nine Prime Chicken Republic outlets across Lagos. They outlets include Chicken Republic in Marina, Lagos Island; Ajose Adeogun, Victoria Island; Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island; Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1; Awolowo Road, Ikoyi; Bode Thomas, Surulere; Jibowu, Yaba; Ikosi, Ketu; and Ikeja City Mall, Alausa. This partnership will see the increase of more Oxygen Internet Wi-Fi the near future. Chief Executive and Co-founder of Oxygen Broadband, Mr. Wande Adalemo who spoke at one of the outlets in Jibowu, Yaba in Lagos, a central Network Operation Centre (NOC) was in place to enable a 24/7 monitoring of the network and to guarantee fast reaction times in case of faults by the local NOC personnel. Customers who buy any item worth N650 from any location of Chicken Republic were the service is available, is entitled to a card that gives access to free Internet service within the outlet. In March this year, Oxygen Broadband went live at its first 10 Internet Hotspot locations. This brings to 30 the total Wi-Fi Internet Hotspots from Oxygen Broadband in Lagos. Oxygen Broadband aims to grow the number of Wi-Fi Internet Hotspots in Lagos to over 1,000 in the coming months and has already perfected expansion plans for key cities in Nigeria.
