Oceus Networks Lauds Congressional Action on Public Safety Interoperability Solution

RESTON, Va. --(Business Wire)--

The U.S. House of Representatives and Senate today approved legislation to extend payroll tax cuts, including major provisions to fund, build and operate an advanced public safety network, based on commercial standards in the 700 MHz spectrum.

"We applaud Congress for providing the long-awaited solution to the first responder's critical need for 21st century, interoperable communications," said Douglas C. Smith, President and CEO, Oceus Networks.
