Speaking on the occasion, Aniruddha B. Mehta, Chairman & Managing Director of the company, said, "For three decades, MRO-TEK has been known as a trailblazing Indian telecommunication product and solution company - a brand with credible and durable products that has demonstrated its potential in India and overseas."

"Ever since the Umiya Group took over in August 2016, we have demonstrated our commitment to the company consistently by infusing capital as and when needed, expanding the business into high-growth segments and engaging with all stakeholders proactively - thus confirming our firm commitment to the growth of the company's technology business for the long-term," said Mr Mehta.

"As we launch ourselves into the trajectory of new growth, Sudipto is exactly the kind of CEO we need at this stage of our comeback - his vision, achieveents, international level of expertise and energy will drive us ahead in this journey to reach new heights. We are excited with his bold and ambitious plans and will work with him to achieve our goals," he added.

In his stint at Wistron Corp's Indian operations, Gupta had several notable achievements to his credit such as executing and managing a complex national distribution network for one of the Top 3 PC brands and setting up Wistron Corp's Indian operations' first owned, high-tech manufacturing plant for a global tech giant at Peenya in Bengaluru.

"Iconic Indian brands are special," Gupta commented, "they are like diamonds which have inherent strengths and values - experienced, skilled manpower, local insights, flexibility, frugal engineering skills, ability to do more with less, deep understanding of local regulations and cultures - exactly what we need to push 'Make In India' towards success."

"My vision for MRO-TEK is to play to its strengths, develop new markets, create new verticals with higher value addition, adopt proven, effective management practices, frugal innovation as the cornerstone of all we do, work closely with Indian home-grown start-ups, take swift decisions, rely on strong corporate governance, ensure adequate disclosures and adopt a balanced business approach. Above all, my people come first - they will always be my priority," he said.

"A key learning in my previous assignment was that unless you invest in people and empower them in decision making, any amount of control systems and reporting processes will not deliver real value in the long-term. I plan to focus on balancing both while creating shareholder value and customer delight. I have long admired MRO-TEK and now I am proud to be a part of it - a truly Indian brand. My dream is to take it global," he added.

Officials of MRO-TEK revealed that work proceeds apace on new business plans, organic and inorganic expansion opportunities and new market initiatives over the next few quarters. The company is releasing a new website and digital marketing campaign soon to broaden its sales push domestically and globally.
