"Jean-Claude has both the passion and expertise to create scalable solutions that seamlessly integrate clinical workflows and advanced technologies like voice and AI to support point of care decisions, increase care quality, lower costs and improve patient safety," said Mike Long (News - Alert), CEO and Chairman of Lumeris. "He will help us fulfill our commitment to powering next-generation health systems that will transform healthcare and improve people's lives."

Most recently, Jean-Claude served as chief technology officer for Wolters Kluwer Health, where he led engineering for a portfolio of solutions, including consumer/patiet engagement applications that engage millions of patients in multi-modal digital experiences to help them navigate their health journeys. He advanced clinical decision support applications used by 2M physicians in more than 39,000 institutional sites worldwide, empowering physicians with point of care evidence-based support and clinical pathways to reduce care variability and improve outcomes. Additionally, he created the Artificial Intelligence (AI) organization that built market leading AI applications for early detection of a patient's deteriorating medical condition using rigorous predictive models from structured and unstructured clinical data, bridging data silos and accelerating the speed and accuracy of alerts with actionable information.

Previously, Jean-Claude had joined Cardinal Health as a general manager and chief technology officer through the acquisition of WaveMark, a successful healthcare startup. At Cardinal Health, he built an RFID-enabled large scale cloud data platform processing billions of transactions to track medical devices and Point of Use appliances deployed at hospitals and IDNs across the US. The platform accurately associates medical devices to patients as a single source of truth, interfacing the data into leading EMRs and clinical documentation systems. The results were significantly improved quality and cost effectiveness and millions of dollars of savings while increasing patient safety.

"We are at an inflection point in American healthcare, particularly with health systems embracing value-based care in order to deliver the outcomes and the consumer experiences required to succeed," said Jean-Claude. "Technology is at the epicenter of this change with Lumeris' proven, wholistic approach to care delivery through community-led, consumer-driven health systems. Together, we can have the biggest impact on improving how quality care is delivered, consumed and paid for."

Jean-Claude holds six patents and is a frequent invited expert, panelist, and keynote speaker on the use of cutting edge technologies to improve healthcare. Jean-Claude received a Master of Science degree in Engineering and Management from the MIT (News - Alert) Sloan School of Management. He also holds a Master of Science degree from MIT and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
