Looker Launches New Tools to Optimize Embedded Analytics

Looker, the leading data platform company, today released new features for its embedded analytics solution, Powered by Looker. New enhancements make it easier to integrate data into existing applications, putting more functionality in the hands of end users.

Looker continues to outpace competitors in creating a single data platform that data teams and developers can use to quickly create powerful data experiences to both internal and external customers in just days, simply by using Looker's new Javascript APIs and other tools.

"We've seen the adoption of embedded analytics continue to grow," said Frank Bien, CEO of Looker. "Many companies begin with the Looker platform for internal analytics and then realize how valuable their data would be to their customers. Because Powered by Looker leverages the same platform, they can quickly extend insights to internal business partners and external customers using their data to make their product stickier and create new revenue streams."

"According to our industry research, embedded analytics use has grown 15% year-over-year," said Howard Dresner, founder of Dresner Advisory Services. "Over 70% of embedded analytics users say it's 'critical' or 'very important' to provide internal application users with in-context insights and analysis."

For many Looker customers, Powered by Looker becomes central to the operational success of their broad set of internal and external clients.

"At PDX we believe that you can't manage what you can't measure," said Todd Crosslin, CIO of PDX, Inc. "We have over 10,000 pharmacies across the U.S. that need to manage vast amounts of data to remain competitive. Through our Looker implementation, we can provide pharmacies with customized reports that deliver insights int cost, margin, inventory, insurance and health and wellness initiatives. It's complete operations management and optimization made easy through Looker."

"For too long, HR professionals have struggled to get the data they need to make strategic decisions for their company," said Matt Straz, Founder and CEO at Namely. "Now, we're giving HR these insights at their fingertips. With a click, they can analyze important data trends-such as salary by gender or attrition by department. With Looker powering Namely Analytics, HR departments are making decisions based on real data through a lens that's easy to grasp."

"We use Looker's embedded capabilities to provide leading brands with actionable analytics and deep predictive insights into their digital customers at a level that we haven't seen possible with other solutions," said Neel Banerjee, Sr. Product Manager at Urban Airship (News - Alert). "With Urban Airship Insight, businesses get a complete view of customers' online brand interactions and the ability to easily take action with user-level data from websites, apps, email, SMS and other channels in the marketing stack. We look forward to implementing Looker's new features to make it even easier for our clients."
