Leadcore adopts VeriSilicon's Hantro Video IPApr 29, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- VeriSilicon Holdings Co., Ltd. has announced that Leadcore Technology Co., Ltd., has adopted its Hantro G1 Multi-format Decoder and Hantro H1 Multi-format Encoder, in its series of application processor chips. Hantro Video IPs enable Leadcore's products to achieve full HD, 60 frames-per-second video decoding and encoding capability, while supporting multiple video formats such as VP8 for WebM and WebRTC, H.264, MVC, MPEG-2/4, DivX, VC-1, RealVideo, and AVS, VeriSilicon said. "We have been working with Leadcore since their inception," says Dr Wayne Dai, President and CEO of VeriSilicon. "We are confident that the 12th generation of Hantro video hardware decoder and encoder is the best choice for mobile internet devices to meet increasing demand on video performance." VeriSilicon can commercially license the Hantro G1 Multi-format Decoder and Hantro H1 Multi-format Encoder products to worldwide semiconductor companies and modify and enhance the Hantro Video IP through architecture modifications and feature enhancements, VeriSilicon added.
