IMTC Announces SuperOp! 2017

The International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (News - Alert) (IMTC) announces that SuperOp! 2017 will be held May 13 - 19, 2017, at the Hotel Corinthia in Prague, Czech Republic. SuperOp! hosts the leading companies developing multimedia telecommunications products and services worldwide.

SuperOp! improves product performance and the collaboration experiences for end users by bringing together multimedia communications solution providers, software developers, equipment manufacturers, protocol stack vendors, network infrastructure vendors, device manufacturers and startup companies from around the world to ensure that their unique versions of video, audio, client devices, software and cloud systems interoperate seamlessly.

Testing will include SIP, WebRTC and H.323 videoconferencing, including WebRTC video codecs H.264, VP8, and VP9), H.264 AVC and SVC, H.265 HEVC, SIP over IPv6, IMS, and many other protocols and technologies. Duplicating this wide diversity of equipment, protocols and vendors available at SuperOp! would be extremely costly and impractical for any company to do in its own test lab.

"SuperOp! provides a unique opportunity for any company that produces multimedia communications solutions to test interoperability of their products and services at an unprecedented level," said Anatoli Levine (News - Alert), IMTC President and Director of Product Management for Spirent Communications. "All companis producing real time multimedia products and services are strongly encouraged to participate."

The SuperOp! Rules of Engagement ensure that all tests are performed in confidence and no specific test results will be publicized.

SuperOp 2017 Platinum sponsors include Cisco, Polycom (News - Alert) and Vidyo.

A variety of cost-effective sponsorships are still available and provide a great opportunity for companies to position themselves as leaders in the multimedia telecommunications industry and show their commitment to standards and interoperability.

SuperOp is open to all IMTC member and non-member companies interested in testing of their multimedia solutions at the event. More information regarding the event is available here or please direct all inquiries to [email protected]
