Hexadite Named to CNBC's List of 25 Barrier Breaking Start-ups

Hexadite, provider of the first agentless intelligent security automation platform, today announced it has been named to CNBC's inaugural Upstart 25 List. The CNBC Upstart 25 highlights a new class of start-ups - those breaking industry barriers, creating new norms, scaling quickly and on a path to become the next household name. From hundreds of companies nominated from across the country, CNBC selected Hexadite as one of the 25 up-and-comers that have the potential to revolutionize, transform and disrupt.

Hexadite helps organizations solve one of the biggest challenges they face today: the cybersecurity capacity problem. With an alarming increase in the volume of cyber attacks, coupled with a worldwide cyber skills shortage, companies struggle to properly investigate and remediate threats. This challenge is only growing and according to the non-profit Center for Cyber Safety and Education, there will be a global shortfall of 1.8 million cyber security workers in the next five years. Using artificial intelligence and automation, Hexadite's Automated Incident Response Solution (AIRS™) integrates with an organization's existing security technologies to investigate alerts just as a trained cyber analyst would, and then performs remediation action once it finds a threat.

"2016 was a breakout year for us. We've experienced incredible growth as companies realize the need for security automation due to the crushing cybersecurity skills gap and the massive increase in cyber threats," said Eran Barak, co-founder and chief executive officer at Hexadite. "Hexadite being named to the CNBC Upstart 25 List is a huge honor and a testament to the fact that we're on track to revolutionize cybersecurity and incident response."

In 2016, Hexadite achieved a number of milestones. It closed an $8 million Series A funding round from Hewlett Packard Ventures, Ten Eleven Ventures and YL Ventures in February, and announced a strategic reseller agreement with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) in Sepember, giving it tremendous reach into the global market. While achieving these milestones, Hexadite experienced a 900 percent growth rate among its customer base of companies spanning all industries. Its Automated Incident Response Solution also became the first intelligent security automation platform to support Mac and Linux-based devices.

In addition to the CNBC Upstart 25 List, Hexadite won seven other industry awards this month, including recognition as the Leader in Incident Response Solutions by the Cyber Defense Magazine InfoSec Awards; four awards from the 2017 Info Security Product Guide's Global Excellence Awards®, including Gold for Innovation in Enterprise Security, Silver for Startup of the Year and Best Deployments in U.S.A., and Bronze for Security Products and Solutions for Enterprise (Large); and wins in the Fastest Growing Cybersecurity Company and Security Automation Product categories from the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards.

Hexadite was a finalist for four additional awards, recognizing its innovation, growth, and position as a leader in the security industry. The company was a finalist for Rookie of the Year in the prestigious SC Awards (formerly SC Magazine Awards), the Best Cybersecurity Company and Incident Response Product categories in the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards, and the Security category for the Tech TrailBlazers Award.
